Volunteers

Volunteers make important contributions to our students and schools in so many ways — preparing and serving healthy food through breakfast and nutrition programs, reading to students, supervising on the playground, coaching and supporting extra curricular activities, and so much more.

We welcome parents/guardians and other school community members to get involved in our schools as volunteers. At the same time, AVRCE has a responsibility to ensure students are safe when they are at school and school-related events. This is why Board Policy 305.14, Volunteers in Schools, requires all volunteers to have a current Criminal Records Check (including the Vulnerable Sector) and Child Abuse Registry Check on file.

If you are interested in volunteering, please use the links below to access and print the Volunteer Application Form (AP 305.14), Criminal Records Check (305.9) and Child Abuse Register Request for a Search (305.8). Once completed, please submit these forms to AVRCE Human Resources.

If you have questions about these forms or about volunteering in schools, please contact AVRCE Human Resources at 902-538-4600.
